Grade 1-9 students are invited to a day of fresh air and physical activity on Thursday, November 1st. This is a day about health, wellness, and community building so there is no need to bring cell phones or electronic devices. We ask that students leave devices, money, and valuable items at home. Permission forms need to be signed and returned to the school no later than Wednesday, October 31.
Weather permitting, the field trip will begin with outdoor games / activities and a picnic lunch at the Municipal Park in Taber. As we will be outside in the morning, we ask students to bring jackets and dress in layers to ensure they enjoy their time. Students will also need to bring their own bagged lunch and snacks for the day. There will NOT be access to a microwave to heat food.
We will be leaving the park at about 12:30 p.m. to go to the Taber Aquatic Center. Students will need to bring swimsuits, towels, and hairbrushes. As a reminder to our older students, modest bathing suits are a must (NO bikinis). If you bring an immodest bathing suit you will be asked to wear an over sized tee-shirt provided by staff members. Lifeguards will be on site and there is no cost for students to swim.
