Introduction to our High School Career Practitioner

Hello Parents & Students,

I am Seanna Uglem, the Career Practitioner at your school! I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know more about what I can do for you.

I am passionate about helping students discover their passions. I am available to meet with students to discuss what they would like to do when they are finished school. I can help with researching careers or post-secondary programs. I can also help with job searches and creating cover letters and resumes.

There are also a lot of great opportunities for students to get hands-on experience and get paid for it. If you have a part-time job and would like to earn credits for it or would like to get a part-time job, talk to me about the Work-Experience program. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the Skilled Trades, talk to me about the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP). Palliser also offers the Dual Credit Program. Dual-credit programs provide high school students with the opportunity to explore career pathways while earning credits at both the high school and post-secondary institution. Post-secondary tuition fees are paid by Palliser. Dual-credit studies are designed primarily for grade 11 and 12 students. There are many programs available such as Fire Operations and FIrst Responder, Healthcare Aide, Unit Clerk, Aviation, Pharmacy Assistant and Precision Agriculture to name a few. If this is something you or your child is interested in please contact me.

I am available to meet in person on Wednesday from 8:30 to 12:30 and by appointment on Monday and Tuesday. My email is If you would like more information about the programs I mentioned and you are not available to meet with me check out the website
